I'm terribly sorry about the delay, but I'm not able to make my planned release of Easy D 0.7, and probably won't be able to for a little while. As much as I loathe it, Real Life (TM) has cropped up and stolen all my time, and the natural instability of the Microsoft Windows operating system robbed me of a system to build Easy D on. Now I have to resort to shady work in virtual machines.

So rather than release something quick and potentially not all working, I've opted to wait until I can have more time to make a better release, probably closer to the time Tango 0.99.8 is released. I'm sorry for the delays, but there are things that need doing (more so than Easy D). For your reference there are instructions covering how to make Easy D yourself (from scratch) here.

Someone scared the email system on the server so bad it just quit without saying goodbye. As a result a lot of users haven't been getting status update mail, etc. More importantly, people haven't been getting their account confirmation mail!

The issue has been fixed, and a script is now in place that will prevent similar things from happening in the future. As the only system administrator, I apologize for the inconvenience.

This is the final release of Easy D before the long wait for the next quarterly release 50 days from now on the 15th of September. You may find more information about this release at its version page in addition to the download link.

Unfortunately, the site was offline for some time on the 21st of July, 2008. The issue, which was an unexpected segfault in the Apache2 webserver, has been fixed, and the site works normally now.

On behalf of the site administration team I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. No data was lost, and there was no security breach associated with the service outage. We are looking into ways to prevent such outages, and to mitigate them once they happen.

As tempting is it is to make a new Easy D release centering around what appears to be the next new stable release, DMD 1.033, I will not be making a new snapshot because of my new quarterly release schedule. This is largely to free up my time to try coding with D, instead of compiling other people's code.

If you need to upgrade, I have documented the process I use to make Easy D releases.

Due to issues with DMD 1.031 and some huge bug that got everyone in a huge argument over something (I didn't bother to read it), DMD 1.031 will not be packaged into a new Easy D release. For some reason it makes Tango fail to build or something like that.

I will use the time to try and document the process by which I make these releases so that you can - if you wish - do it yourself. It's also so I can read it if I forget how to do something when the next stable release of DMD comes.

This new release is the latest and greatest stable I can smash together.
